The hard part is done. Still need to install gerrit and inform trac of the new repo.

it was believed that trac knew about the git repository, but it doesn't seem to have been picking up on new revs, and an attempt at resync seems to have lost it completely.

Turned off repository caching in trac and suddenly everything got saner. Punting gerrit to its own ticket.
